- Description of the Worship
Services
We practice open table fellowship
- The table of fellowship is open for all to participate. We welcome
anyone for it is God's presence that we celebrate. If you desire to
come forward and commune with God through the shared loaf of bread and
the common cup of wine or to simply receive a blessing, we encourage
you to do so.
8:00 a.m. : A quiet simple Eucharist using three hymns, the lessons from the Revised Common Lectionary for the Day, and Sermon. It is usually completed in 50 minutes.
9:30 a.m. : A very active service designed specifically for the incorporation of young children and their families with
contemporary songs and music. There is a homily designed for children, and we gather around the Table to celebrate the Eucharist. Our children's choir sings periodically at this service. It is usually completed in 40 minutes.
11:15 a.m. : A Eucharist (with Adult Choir from September thru mid-June) and Sermon uses the lessons from the Revised Common Lectionary, the supplemental texts entitled Enriching Our Worship, a variety of hymnals from different traditions and supplemental materials from Word and Sacrament produced by Augsberg Press.
5:00 p.m. : Evensong is a short (20-30 minute) service of prayer with simple chants, followed by a light supper and fellowship; a way to wind down after a hectic weekend.
